Level 3 award in principles of management and leadership
Aimed at existing first line or aspiring managers and covers understanding various types of organisations and how they operate, builds on your current management and leadership approach through tried and tested theories and how they can be used in your role. The course runs over a three to four month period and is delivered through blended learning including online, workbook activities, a one-day workshop, learning groups, experiential reflection, self-directed learning and a final assessment booklet.
Level 5 certificate in management and leadership
Aimed at existing staff in management roles, this programme also utilises a blended learning approach and is undertaken over an eight to nine month period, taking in three units;
- Unit 504: managing performance – explore reasons for managing performance and the approaches that can be used, methods of rewarding the performance of individuals who exceed expectations, analyses ways of managing under performance in a professional and supportive manner and focus on the way performance management, when used effectively, is able to impact on individual and organisational achievement.
- Unit 509: managing stakeholder relationships – learn how to build stakeholder relationships that are long lasting and sustainable, explore the types and purposes of stakeholder relationships and the skills required to overcome challenges and manage these effectively.
- Unit 514: managing change – learn how to evaluate types and reasons for change within organisations and be able to select and apply theoretical models for its management.
Level 5 certificate in professional coaching practice
This qualification aimed at middle managers and is designed to support those in the development of professional coaching skills, helping them to understand and be able to apply the core skills required for effective coaching practice.
Upon completion of this certificate, they will have the professionalism to deliver impact, behave ethically and demonstrate a commitment to continual learning and development.
The aim of this qualification is for the learner to evidence their ability to deliver coaching that responds to coachee needs in a real working environment.
The qualification contains a blend of practical activities, including the preparation and delivery of coaching and participation in coaching supervision. The learner will reflect on the outcomes of their coaching practice and will use the insight gained to create a professional development plan which will be instrumental in improving their coaching capability.
