The Mary Seacole Local Programme is a six-month leadership development programme designed by the NHS Leadership Academy in partnership with the Hay Group, to develop knowledge and skills in leadership and management.

The programme aims to provide a balance between theory and practice, designed for those looking to move into their first formal leadership role or new to leadership.  The programme empowers you to turn your success into consistent team success and champion compassionate patient care.

  • 100 hours of online study
  • Three online workshops (if you cannot attend all of the dates below, please apply for a future cohort)
  • Written assignment, 2000 words (reflections on your leadership impact)
  • Cost: £150.00 per delegate

Applications are open until Friday 23 August 2024.  If you wish to apply for NWAS funding, you must first complete the request form below.

    • Workshop 1: 15 October
    • Workshop 2: 10 December
    • Workshop 3: 4 February
  • Virtual campus days: 12 November, 7 January, 4 March
