Following the news that NWAS has teamed up with the University of Cumbria to create several ‘popular topic’ CPD sessions, we are pleased to announce the second CPD workshop: Managing Cardiac Arrest.
Managing Cardiac Arrest Workshop
The Managing Cardiac Arrest workshop has been designed to familiarise, update and enhance the knowledge and understanding of Cardiac Arrest Management in the prehospital environment for existing clinicians.
Workshop One: Advanced Life Support Management aligned to RCUK guidelines, including wider ECG rhythm recognition and team approach principles, recognising and managing reversible causes and post ROSC care.
The same workshop will run on 25th or 26th February 9.30-17.00. Please only book onto one session.
Workshop Two (You must have attended workshop one before booking a place): HOTT Principles including managing Cardiac arrest with Head, Chest, Pelvic and Limb trauma, Special Circumstances: Managing Cardiac Arrest consequential of Hypothermia, Hanging and Drowning
The same workshop will run on 25th or 26th March 9.30-17.00. Please only book onto one session.
The training will take place at The Red Hall Hotel, Walmersley, Bury, BL9 5NA. Each session has up to 40 spaces available and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
To book your place, simply log into ESR and search for 242 CPD on your My Learning section. The courses are available for all grades of PES staff who undertake Resuscitation level 3 training, if you cannot see the course, you may not be eligible. Once a candidate has applied to undertake the workshops, they will be sent a link to a platform. The platform will afford the basics of cardiac arrest management which is required as a standard leading into the selected workshops.
