Knowledge and Library Hub

The Knowledge and Library Hub is the one stop shop to search for all topics (clinical and non-clinical). Login with your NHS OpenAthens account to get the full benefit of access to over 7000 full text journals.

NHS OpenAthens

To get the best from the resources we provide access to you are going to need an NHS OpenAthens account. If you don’t have one, you can self-register from this link https://openathens.nice.org.uk, or scan the QR code. Just complete the simple form. It works best if you register with your work eMail ending either nhs.uk or nhs.net.

eBooks

The library provides access to eBooks using the library catalogue.  Watch the help video to find out how to search the catalogue.  We cover management and clinical topics and if there is anything you need that we don’t have just eMail Library@nwas.nhs.uk and we will find you a copy.

Journals

We have access to leading paramedic journals, Journal of Paramedic Practice, British Paramedic Journal, Prehospital Emergency Care and Resuscitation.

Help and advice

If you need to talk to someone about your information needs or want a literature search just ask the library. We can do a literature search for and send you the results. If you would like the full text of specific journal articles, we can supply that too.
